UNIQUE GET TOGETHER SOCIETY . REGISTERED CHARITY

Building safety,
healing, and
belonging.

We work alongside children, families, women, seniors,
and communities to create culturally grounded pathways
toward dignity, wellness, opportunity, and lasting change.

Why UGTS Exists

Every individual deserves the opportunity to heal. Every family deserves the opportunity to thrive. Every community deserves the chance to flourish.

Unique Get Together Society was founded on the belief that lasting change happens when people are met with compassion, dignity, culturally responsive support, and opportunities to build stronger futures.

We recognize that life’s challenges cannot always be addressed through a single service or program. Healing requires connection. Stability requires opportunity. Strong communities require collaboration.

That is why UGTS exists.

We walk alongside individuals, families, and communities by creating pathways to healing, housing, belonging, education, wellness, and independence.

Guided by our Six Pillars, we are committed to developing innovative, sustainable solutions that respond to today’s needs while creating opportunities for future generations.

OUR WORK TODAY

Community priorities,
clearly and honestly shared.

Our website distinguishes programs that are active, returning, in development, and seeking funding. Transparency protects trust while inviting the right partners to help bring each vision to life.

A journey rooted in love, justice, and community.

UGTS began in 2012 with advocacy for children with special needs and families navigating systems that were not designed around their realities.

Founded by Debra Abraham and her son, the work has grown into a broader commitment to children, youth, women, seniors, Indigenous peoples, Black communities, newcomers, and families affected by systemic exclusion, poverty, violence, housing instability, disability, and food insecurity.

We create programs and partnerships grounded in compassion, cultural humility, trauma-informed practice, lived experience, and the belief that people should not have to lose their dignity to receive support.
